What a gorgeous couple of days we’ve had. Yesterday the children and I picked up Aunty A (who is now on maternity leave) and headed to Hengistbury Head. It was a little windy so putting up the beach tent was fun! We all had lots of fun even if the sea was a tad chilly to swim in. We played in the sand, making sandcastles and monster trucks tracks. We hunted for shells, seaweed and crabs. We had a lovely picnic and an icecream.
When we got home the children got the guinea pigs out for cuddles. They are really enjoying learning how to care for them. They are in charge of feeding them everyday, letting them out to run around and making sure they’re tucked up at bedtime time. They also help clean out the cage with me.
Today we took Granma with us to Moors Valley. We played in the parks and did a little of the adventure trail. We’re definitely getting the most out of our season pass. We came home for lunch and spent the afternoon at home working on a project and then the children went out to play with their schooled friends. I managed to get a little done in the garden which I always enjoy. We’ll soon be able to taste the 1st of this year’s strawberry crop.
Tomorrow we have a quiet day planned and Saturday I am looking forward to my sister-in-law’s baby shower and a couple of child free hours.
