My children, like many others, love watching other children unboxing toys on YouTube. So when we were asked to review Hatchimals CollEGGtibles season 3, we decided to do it in the style of a YouTube unboxing. I didn’t tell the girls what was in the box before they opened it; I thought the surprise would make it the more fun for them. Upon seeing the Hatchimals inside there were squeals of excitement from both of them. I have to be honest, I struggled to get pictures before they ripped open the packaging!
We received a Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 – 1-Pack (rrp £2.99), Hatchimals – CollEGGtibles Season 3 – 2-Pack + Nest (rrp £4.99), Hatchimals – CollEGGtibles Season 3 – 4-Pack + Bonus (rrp £9.99) and the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles One Dozen Egg pack (rrp £24.99). The latter being my personal favourite because once the eggs are open you can keep the Hatchimals in the egg box, all nice and tidy. Inside were 10 eggs plus 2 little Animals not inside an egg. Season 3 Hatchimals has the slogan “Hatch Friends Forever”, you can find best friends, twins or special edition animals.
The eggs are super easy to open, sampling rub on the love hearts until they change colour. This makes the shell soft enough to pop your thumb through, revealing the character inside. The girls were lucky enough to find 5 sets of twins, 2 fluffy characters and a couple of best friend sets. The twins received the most positive response. After the grand opening of all our eggs, theses cute little critters have not left my children’s sides. They’ve played with them constantly, taken them to Grandparents houses, in the bath (except the fluffy ones) and even to bed.
Each Hatchimal comes with a name, although my girls also like to make up their own names for them. There are over 100 Season 3 CollEGGtibles to collect.
28 pairs of best friends, 20 different sets of twins and three different squads each with six limited edition Hatchimals CollEGGtibles. The Hatchimals can come from one of 9 habitats; savannah, farm, ocean, jungle, forest, desert, meadow, river or garden.
**We were gifted these for the purpose of reviewing, all thoughts are our own.**
